The Leki PRC 650 is a great pair of poles for cross-country skiers who want the very best. The poles are made of 100% carbon, which keeps the weight down while making them extremely durable. The tip is made of carbide, which means it can withstand being pounded into icy trails time and time again. These poles will last you for many years.

The cross-country ski poles feature Leki’s popular Trigger Shark system, which provides optimal control and power.

This makes skiing with poles safer than ever before. Between the thumb and index finger on Leki Trigger gloves (and the included strap) is a small “loop” that can be clicked together with, among other things, this carbon ski pole from Leki. This keeps your ski poles securely attached to your hands until they’re subjected to pressure or twisting—such as during a fall—at which point they’ll click out.

Leki’s popular Trigger Shark system is designed to work with Leki ski gloves. If you don’t have those, you can use the handle/strap that comes with the ski poles. You therefore don’t need a Leki ski glove; just use the included strap—which is what most people who use Leki poles do.

The included strap/handle, which you can wear over your gloves, is adjustable so it fits exactly as you want it to.

If you choose not to use the Trigger system, the pole can be used as a completely normal cross-country ski pole with a regular glove. The Trigger system is simply an extra feature.

The PRC 650 comes with a long cork grip, which provides increased comfort and control.
