Some helmets scream for attention, and then there's Cratoni. A brand that doesn't need to make noise to be noticed. Here it's about function rather than buzzwords, which is actually rather refreshing. Whether you commute through town, cruise at the weekend or bring the kids along, Cratoni makes helmets that cover most needs, for adults and children, with solid materials and well-thought-out details.
There's no nonsense at Cratoni. Most of its helmets are made with in-mould technology, which means the shell and the foam are moulded together into one unit. That makes the helmet both lighter and more robust. It isn't rocket science, just good German engineering.
Ventilation gets plenty of attention too. The helmets have many well-placed air channels, so you don't overheat on a long ride. And then there are the adjustment systems, such as the Light Fit System, which make it easy to get the helmet sitting just right, with no pressure points.
Cratoni covers a lot of ground. Among our cycle helmets you'll find helmets for the commuter who just wants to get there and back safely, and helmets for mountain bikers who don't mind a bit of gravel under the tyres. Some models also come with MIPS.
For children there are kids' cycle helmets, where safety and comfort come first, and where Cratoni has thought about details such as rear lights and antibacterial pads.
Design-wise, Cratoni sits at the understated end: discreet colours and a clean look. If you're after flashing gimmicks and colour explosions, Cratoni probably isn't your style. Instead you get a helmet you won't get tired of looking at, or wearing.
Cratoni also makes sunglasses, which you'll find among our cycling sunglasses and sports sunglasses. They protect your eyes from sun, wind and dust on the bike.
All in all, Cratoni is for you if you want something that works, without spending a fortune or worrying about the small print. These are helmets you can rely on when you get on the bike, for everyday rides, weekends and everything in between. For more kit, see cycling.
