Measure the head circumference with a tape measure just above the eyebrows and ears, and choose the helmet size your measurement falls within. The helmet should sit level and cover the forehead, about two finger-widths above the eyebrows, and the straps should form a V under the ears. With the buckle closed, there should only be room for one finger between strap and chin. Replace the helmet if it has taken a knock, even if you can't see any damage.
