Reinforced areas increase durability, and snow gaiters at the legs help keep snow out. The 80-gram padding provides extra insulation, and the YKK zipper contributes to durability. The W-PRO 15,000 system means the trousers have a waterproof rating of 15,000 mm and good breathability.
