Description

POC Fornix MIPS, ski helmet, uranium black matt

For many years, the POC Fornix has been one of POC’s best-selling helmets. You’re bound to come across this classic on your ski vacation. It does everything a good ski helmet should.

The new version of the Fornix is even better than before, thanks to some new features that make it even safer. POC has found the perfect balance of safety, design, and performance.

The model features an in-mold construction with an EPS liner, and the helmet now has an extended PC shell that protects the rim. In short, this means the helmet is molded from polycarbonate, a material that’s virtually unbreakable, resulting in an incredibly tough shell. The shell is combined with a shock-absorbing EPS liner on the inside, giving you a helmet that’s both safe and lightweight.

For even greater safety, the new model is equipped with MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). This is the best safety feature on the market when it comes to ski helmets. It reduces the risk of serious head injuries. MIPS consists of two layers within the helmet that can move independently of each other. This allows the ski helmet to absorb impacts much more effectively, since the two layers do not necessarily affect each other.

In addition, a new adjustment system has been added to adjust the helmet’s head size, making it easier to find a secure and comfortable fit so that it sits exactly as desired.

With these new improvements, which have resulted in even greater comfort and protection, POC’s Fornix ranks among the best ski helmets on the market, as it combines high safety with a lightweight design. A guaranteed bestseller!
