Dartsel 3L is a shell jacket with a three-layer construction, suitable for outdoor activities that require protection against wind and weather. The jacket is made of polyester, half of which is recycled, and contains T8 yarn, providing strength, stretch, colorfastness, and quick drying. It is uninsulated and can therefore be used as an outer layer year-round, depending on the layers worn underneath.

The jacket features a Tritech membrane with a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm and a breathability of 20,000 g/24h. All seams are taped, and the zippers are waterproof. There are ventilation zippers, a fixed snow skirt, and an adjustable hood and hem with drawcord. The jacket has a chest pocket, two side pockets, and a lift pass pocket on the left sleeve. The surface is treated with PFC-free DWR for water repellency.
